Welcome to the National River Fish Spawning Survey!

We are changing the way that we collect the spawning survey data – if you have any data for us please contact us by email for the time being.

This survey was created by Dr Andrew Pledger (Department of Geography and Environment, Loughborough University) in collaboration with RACG colleagues and aims to gain better understanding of where and when river fish spawn at a national scale.

This survey is part of a wider program of work on
1) the quality of wild fish spawning habitats
2) the efficacy of spawning habitat improvement techniques
3) the environmental tolerances of fish eggs and larvae.

Importantly, any information provided will be used for research purposes only and will not be published without prior consent. For further information, please contact Dr Andrew Pledger by email at gyagp@lboro.ac.uk.
